Now that I am home from college I have had a lot of time on my hands and with that time I have been doing some experiments. “What kind of experiments?” you ask. Smoothie experiments. I have never been a huge fan of the consistency of smoothies but recently have found some fun ways to make tasty smoothies at whatever consistency you prefer! These smoothies are so delicious and fun to make and a bonus is that they can have some major health benefits depending on what ingredients you use! I name my types of smoothies after films Robin Williams is in, I’m not exactly sure but he’s a great man, Rest in Peace.
Here are my current TOP 4 favorite smoothies!
Jumanji
- handful of spinach leaves
- frozen pineapple, mango, peaches, strawberries (these all came in a frozen fruit medley bag
- frozen blueberries
- 1 banana
- 2 tbsp of flaxseed
- enough water to cover the ingredients (add more or less to change consistency)
Good Morning Vietnam
- handful of spinach
- handful of frozen pineapple
- small squeeze of a lemon
- splash of orange juice
- 2 tbsp of flaxseed
- enough water to cover the ingredients (add more or less to change consistency)
Mrs. Doubtfire (this one is my favorite so I named it after my favorite movie)
- -6 frozen pineapple chunks
- whole banana
- spoon of greek yogurt
- splash of unsweetened almond milk
- water to cover the rest of the ingredients (it seems gross with the milk and water but it all gets mixed together anyway)
Dead Poets Society
- handful of spinach leaves
- handful of frozen fruit mix
- 2 tbsp of flaxseed
- water to cover ingredients
Hope you try one of these out and enjoy!!
